Aspire Sport Kenya is committed to inspiring organisations to be world leading in terms of governance, not just to prove they are fit to receive any kind of private and public funds but so their governance and leadership can positively impact and support athlete success. The leadership and governance of organisations can often have knock on effects to the performance of our sports against their medal targets.
Aspire Sport Kenya works with organisations to support the development of governance and leadership, and ensure that organisations are run professionally and efficiently, with a commitment to achieving the highest standard of corporate governance and financial management at all levels. We make sure that the groups we work with are able to evidence that equality, safeguarding and ethical standards are visibly integrated into their structures and operations. A key driver for our governance work is the impact that improved governance and leadership will have on the well-being and performance of athletes; improving the ethics of sport for the benefit of everyone.
Leadership and governance programmes are already in progress. In 2016 Aspire Sports Kenya in partnership with SPORT FOR TOMORROW an international contribution through sport initiative jointly implemented by public and private sectors, which promotes sport to more than 10 million people in over 100 nations until 2020, the year when Tokyo will host the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, launched.
